Aunque Nickelodeon tardó un poco para revelar la lista completa de nominaciones, Us Weekly se adelantó en anunciar en exclusiva algunos artistas que estarán compitiendo por un dirigible naranja en tres categorías - Favorite Music Group, Favorite Male Singer y Favorite Female Singer. Entre los nominados están Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Pharrell Williams, y Ariana Grande.
La banda británica One Direction también está en carrera. "Estamos muy contentos de saber que estamos nominados en la categoría Favorite Music Group en los Kids Choice Awards de este año.
